In order to fulfill our mission, we have developed a list of strategies that will help us achieve our goals. Take a look at the list and decide what strategy/strategies you can help with. Then decide whether you want to donate, become a member, volunteer, or do all three!

1. Establish a temporary site for meetings and the display of donated artifacts/items.

2. Provide programs and activities for members and the public.

3. Membership growth of 25% during the first two years and 15% each year thereafter.

4. Acquire a permanent physical location open to the public.

5. Establish a research center and genealogy library.

6. Acquire, and preserve physical sites related to Central Louisiana’s African American history and heritage.

7. Support other organizations, individuals, and entities by providing financial and physical support to increase capacity for the preservation of Central Louisiana’s African American history and heritage.

8. Support and partner with other organizations and entities who support our mission.

9. Become an educational resource and safe space for the community.
