Elroy "EJ" Johnson is a millenial content creator based in New Orleans. He is a former social studies teacher, an award winning documentary filmmaker, and a published photojournalist. He holds a Master degree in journalism and creative media from the University of Alabama.

EJ is passionate about documenting stories from marginalized perspectives and experiences, recording oral narratives from Black elders, and educating his more than 56,000 social media followers about Black history and culture, particularly from the southeastern states of Texas and Louisiana.
