Charles Jolivette is a writer, film director, and entrepreneur from San Francisco, California. His books include Étouffée, Le Midnight Roux, Bayou Babies, Too Hard For The Radio, and A Part of Survival. During his expansive career in the arts and entertainment sector, Charles has had the honor of working with Dick Gregory, Paul Mooney, J. Cole, Michael Franti and Fred Hampton, Jr. among many other talents. He is the curator of Andrew Foster Legacy, an ongoing social and civic campaign to promote and highlight the legacy of his grandfather Andrew Foster, and other Black business and political activists from Indianapolis.
